HIGH SCHOOL FORMATION

On Sunday nights we use a large group model for Catechesis known as Life Teen which tends to be more interactive and engaging for the high school student as opposed to the typical classroom model. Life Teen aids young people in developing a deeper relationship with God while strengthening their understanding of the faith and the mission of the Church. WE have trained group leaders consisting of parents, young adults, and Confirmed high school seniors who assist in the process of leading teens closer to Christ. Each Life Night flows out of Mass and into the Upper Room above Sexton Hall beginning with a light meal followed by Catechesis that challenges and engages the young people in their faith

Our weekly faith formation class for High School students takes place on Sunday evenings from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Students are expected to attend regularly during their 9th and 10th grade years to be able to enter into the Confirmation preparation process.

AYC 2022 Youth Registration

AYC is a wonderful experience of faith and fellowship. This year’s annual summer outreach to high school aged youth will take place under the theme “Everlasting Mercy.” This year’s theme is based on the scripture Luke 1:49-50 - “for the Almighty has done great things for me. Holy is his name, and his faithful love extends age after age to those who fear him.” This theme was recommended by the Archdiocesan Youth Council and approved by His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo. With this scripture in mind, AYC will focus on receiving God’s mercy as well as sharing God’s mercy with those we encounter.

AYC offers our local youth the opportunity to be challenged by some of the best speakers in the country. All who participate will be blessed with powerful witness and messages from our major presenters: Danny Ray, Fr. David Michael Moses, and Sr. Josephine Garred, CSFN. Josh Blakesley and his band will provide music ministry throughout the conference, and we welcome our new Emcee Alex Gotay
