Facilitator: Carla D’Rozario, M.A.
Two decades after his death, Henri J. M. Nouwen remains one of the most prolific and accessible spiritual teachers of our time. Reading any one of the forty books Nouwen authored is an invitation to journey with him in our struggle to accept our human vulnerability and imperfection and embrace our identity as the beloved of God. While exploring Nouwen's life, ministry, and spirituality of the heart, class participants will have the opportunity to hold in fruitful tension the polarities that draw us deeper into our own spiritual life and closer to the heart of God. The simplicity and depth of Nouwen's spirituality will engage and touch you, whether you've never picked up one of Nouwen's books or have read them all!
Carla D’Rozario studied Spiritual Direction and Ignatian Spirituality while earning her M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Loyola Marymount University. As a retreat guide, she especially enjoys supporting mothers and lay ministers. Carla's previous ministries include facilitating marriage preparation, providing pastoral care to seniors, and companioning immigrant families.
