Centrality of the Eucharist-Relocation of the Tabernacle

$

Most Precious Blood has been appointed as a pilgrimage site for the National Eucharistic Revival because of our parish’s patronage and title. We have also been asked by Archbishop Aquila to recenter the tabernacle from an adjacent corner to a place of prominence in order to visually convey our Christian journey from our incorporation into the Body of Christ at Baptism and through our daily communion with Him in the Sacrifice of the Mass. Thus: the baptismal font, the altar, the crucifix and the tabernacle will all be in one central alignment.
Therefore, we will need to suspend a crucifix from the ceiling while keeping it central in the Church. This is a beautiful opportunity to obtain a crucifix which depicts the Most Precious Blood of Jesus. Currently, our crucifix does not depict any wounds of Jesus from Good Friday.
Any contributions in excess of the cost of a new and re-centered tabernacle as well as a new crucifix will go towards dignified liturgical materials including:
-altar cloths
-ciboria
-altar server vestments
-processional cross
-seasonal church decorations
Thank you for your generosity! -Fr. Daniel Ciucci
